About the Role

The purpose of this position is to assist physicians by managing real-time medical documentation during patient consultations. Virtual Medical Documentation Specialists (VMDS) will remotely observe live doctor-patient interactions and accurately document clinical content into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, as per physician preferences.

By undertaking the time-intensive clerical responsibilities typically managed by physicians, this role allows doctors to focus more on patient care and improves the overall clinical workflow.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate in Life Sciences.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong comprehension of American English accents.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and sentence construction skills.
• Ability to accurately type and edit text.
• Comfortable working with computers and software applications.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality of patient data.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters accurately and promptly, including history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, test results, medical decisions, and treatment plans.
• Maintaining professional and unobtrusive communication with the physician to ensure comprehensive and precise charting.
• Creating structured medical notes in alignment with the specific documentation style of the physician.
• Navigating and updating the hospital’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Ensuring full compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and internal data privacy policies.
• Demonstrating consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality.
